FAKES - GREEK LENTIL SOUP

This is one of the easiest and delicious soups to make...I should make it more often!!!!




FAKES - GREEK LENTIL SOUP

         250 grams dried brown lentils rinsed
        
         2 brown onions finely chopped

         3 cloves of garlic chopped
        
         2 teaspoons of dried Greek oregano
        
         3 bay leaves
        
         750 ml of water
        
         1 cup of pureed tomatoes with 1 tablespoon of tomato paste

          salt to taste

         white vinegar to serve


        
1.            In a large pot add all your ingredients except for the vinegar and salt.

2.            Let the mixture come to a boil on a medium high heat and then bring it down to a   simmer.

3.            Simmer for about 30-40 minutes.

4.            Add salt to taste

5.             Add about a teaspoon or so of vinegar to bowl before eating. 

P.S THE VINEGAR MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE!!
